I had a very encouraging conversation on Saturday I would like to share with you. Saturday afternoon there was a wreck on Kim Miller Rd. It was right in the curve at Bramley’s house. I was helping to direct traffic and lots of folks stopped by to talk. Mrs Ann Maharrey was just getting back from Alabama and walked over to say hi. We talked about a lot of things and I really enjoyed the conversation.
She then asked if I could recommend a Bible translation. She told me she had been reading through The Bible for many years and she liked to change translations sometimes just for a change of pace. I thought to myself what a wonderful accomplishment. What she told me next touched me even more. She said her daughter Beth had also followed in her footsteps and had been doing the same thing for years. Awesome! Wait there’s even more. Now her grandsons have started the same tradition!!!!!
Remember Paul writing to Timothy and he talked about Timothy’s mother and grandmother passing down a legacy of faith? We all know Ann and Beth can’t pass down salvation to those boys but what a legacy.
