During the Helene recovery and relief efforts support (physical, financial, and supplies) came from places all over this nation. I was often surprised at how people so far away found out about what God was doing right here at North Toxaway. Local churches, ministries, and families also joined in with support. Without all of the support we could not have accomplished nearly as much.
One particular church stands out and that church was Cashiers Baptist. They had several that went along with our meal team almost everywhere they went. If the couldn’t go the came and prepped. They also contributed financially multiple times to the effort.
Henry Blackaby in his book Experiencing God talks about finding where God is working and joining that work. It was clear God was working through our church and Cashiers Baptist joined where God was working.
Cashiers Baptist is now working on building a house in Burnsville where some of the worst damage occurred. As your Pastor I would like to see us join that effort financially and support Cashiers Baptist in their building project.
I would like to suggest we send Cashiers Baptist $5000 to help with their project. I know we need to wait and vote on this in our next business meeting. I would also like to challenge some of you to give extra to this project. Some of you have the resources to help and I know this is a place where those resources would be used for the glory of God.
We have always been a generous congregation and there are needs being met behind the scenes everyday that few know about but God is providing a way.
Prayer Request
Please remember Evelyn Chapmans mother, Jessie Beddingfield, in your prayers. She is now under Hospice care and her 100 year journey on this earth is coming to a close. Please remember all of the family at this time.
