Yesterday I needed to fill out some paperwork for dad and I realized it was my “Gotcha Day” the day I was adopted by mom and dad. A conversation ensued about my adoption and the person I was working with was also adopted and we shared our stories. After finishing I went on down the hall to see dad. We had a good visit but for the first time in my life he didn’t mention the special day. Time has taken its toll on his mind and he simply could not remember.
Paul speaks in the book of Ephesians about us being adopted into the family of God. Time has no detrimental effect upon God. He is outside of time. He is the Apha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Our adoption secured by the blood of Jesus. Not only were we secured by the blood but our names were written in the Lambs Book of Life. Our eternity sealed forever. Hallelujah!
