Recently our cordless stick vacuum had begun to give us issues and finally a critical piece broke so it was time for a replacement. Well the nerd in me loved something new to research. I watched videos, I read reviews, and I asked AI. I I finally made the decision and then the search for in stock and lowest price began. The hunter-gatherer instinct is strong in me even if I won’t shoot the deer in my own yard. The vacuum was found and I purchased a new battery powered stick vacuum. It has a 45 minute run time, dirt detection, dual heads for bare floors and rugs, plus it even empties itself when you return it to the charging base.
This awesome piece of technology entered my life on Tuesday. Last night just before bed Susan said, “You know that vacuum you researched and searched for is still in the box!” She right, that amazing thing hasn’t cleaned a thing. It’s still in the box. Today the plan is for it to leave the box and be put to use but the day is young and something might derail that plan.
You know far to many of us treat the Bible just like I have treated that vacuum. The Bible is God’s Holy Word! It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction. It contains everything a Christian need to live a righteous, peaceful, and content life. Yet we let it sit on a shelf, unused.
As awesome as my new vacuum is it is worthless unless taken out of the box and used. As awesome of a resource we have in the Bible it will leave our lives unchanged unless we read it and apply the wisdom and instruction to our lives. Get it off the shelf, pick it up from the table, open the app on your phone and use it!!!!!!!!!!
