In many of the books that the Apostle Paul wrote he finishes by sending greetings and thanks to believers for their assistance in the ministry. What you may not understand is his thanks are not the primary point. What we can also understand is that in order for their to be a healthy functioning body many need to participate. Everyone has a gift or talent in making the body of Christ function.
I Am in no way whatsoever comparing myself to the Apostle Paul other in the fact that I am greatful for this body of believers at NTBC! No matter the task, the ask, or the challenge there is someone or a group to step in and fulfill the calling. From teaching – taking out trash there is a someone to answer the call. Most weeks I will txt an individual or a group and explain a need or situation. I’ll get a txt in return that says I’ll take care of it pastor.
We are not a perfect church because you have an imperfect pastor and imperfect members. However, we are closer to a functioning body like the early New Testament churches Paul commended and thanked.
